The Advanced Integrated Surface Sensors (AISS) SSBU in the Advanced Technology (AT) SBU has an exciting opportunity for a finance key team member to manage a diverse portfolio of programs. The AISS SSBU is responsible for developing cutting-edge technologies and implementing a portfolio of programs that drives the latest technology into the larger Raytheon business unit. You will work closely with the SSBU Finance Lead, Mission Area Directors, and Program Managers and will have frequent interaction with all functional groups. You will have responsibility for oversight of all aspects of program controls including ensuring successful program start-up, completing Estimates at Complete (EACs) as required, implementing baseline change requests, conducting weekly/monthly reporting, and supporting program closeout. This role will also have responsibility for supporting new business capture including writing Basis of Estimates (BOEs), developing capture strategy, and supporting negotiations. This role will also be responsible for overseeing all FP&A activities for the portfolio including developing monthly forecasts, Annual Operating Plans, and Long Range Plans. The finance manager will also ensure the team adheres to all internal policies. This role also has managerial oversight of a team of managers and analysts and will have responsibility for training, development, and mentorship of the team. This role is being offered in a remote capacity and is based on the needs of the business. The candidate will need to have the flexibility to attend a few onsite meetings throughout the year. The preferred candidate will be located within a commutable distance to Tewksbury, MA. Relocation assistance is not being offered. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Provide managerial oversight to a diverse and complex portfolio of programs including all aspects of program controls.
- Support new business capture including leading and developing capture strategy, writing basis of estimates (BOEs), providing gate artifacts, and supporting negotiations.
- Participate in multiple levels of reviews, including monthly program status reviews, EACs, financial forecasting (monthly, AOP & Long Range Plan), Risk & Opportunity analysis, as needed.
- Manage and mentor multiple team members while continuing to meet deliverable requirements, prepare charts, conduct customer interfacing, and ensure program financial performance against EAC and forecast.
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and 8 years of related work experience; OR an Advanced degree and 5 years of related work experience.
- Experience with SAP, APEX, PRISM, AO and/or Rplan.
- Experience with data analysis and/or reporting.
- Experience with MS Office products.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
- Experience in communicating financial concepts, trends and variances to organization.
- Shows initiative by seeking ways to improve processes and data analysis
- Works under general direction and participates in choosing objectives of assignment.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with ability to work with and communicate seamlessly with manager(s) and program personnel across various locations and time zones.
- Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
- Experience with application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
